This carriage for invalids is used for the transportation of persons with injured lower extremities and in the normal mobility.
The carriages for invalids are manufactured in two types:
- carriage for invalids A-1
- carriage for invalids with manual drive A-2.
The carriage type A-1 moves either by hand effort displacing the rims fixed in the back of the carriage, or by the means of another person pushing the back handles of the carriage. The carriage type A-1 is assigned for indoor, short distance transportation, such as within a country house adjoining area or to the corner of neighbours house etc.
The carriage type A-2 operates with the help of a lever drive on the back wheels and a front wheel steering device. This is an easy control transportation means consigned for large distance movement, for instance to visit a doctor or for outsideuse.
Both carriages have a comfortable chair, armrests, leg props and on the of the chair there are pockets for small personal effects.
The carriages are foldable for transportation or prolonged storing.
